I spent this entire weekend with my host family, going out during the days, and hanging out with the kids. They all really grew on me. I'm very sad I have to leave them today. Hopefully we can stay in touch!
It turns out my host mother is a shodosensei, or a teacher of Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy). I drilled on Shodo for two days straight, in preparation to make the gift I gave to someone (the big e-tegami I'm holding).
